Tori's blog!!!!

Every year on Thanksgiving my family and I have my dads side of the family over for a huge dinner. We bake one turkey and fry one turkey. Everyone else brings a  dish to pass. It is always a very good time. I love to be with all my cousins. We are also having a few families from church come because they are like family too. After we are all done eating the little kids go play and the men and older boys watch football while the girls look through all the sale flyers to see what stores they want to go to first in the morning. After about an hour or whenever the game is over we have dessert. I love dessert the best. My Grandma makes the best pies in the world! When dessert is done we usually hang out and talk some more then it is time for everyone to go home. Then my family and I have to clean it all up. If we are not to tired on the weekend we go and get a Christmas tree but we usually end up getting one  the weekend after. I love thanksgiving it is my second favorite holiday. Christmas is first! I can’t wait to see all my family!

This class has taught me so much. I don’t want to go to gym. I really enjoy learning about computers. We have made glogs, websites, wikis, and blogs. I have gotten better at typing too. I would like to keep my blog even though I will be out of this class. But I did not save it in the right place so you can not see it. Another thing we did was wordle. Here is one of the ones I made. It is about me. I will really miss this class. It is my favorite of the day. Mr.Moore, can I please keep my blog?  I will never forget everything that I learned. The other wordle is about this class that I made out if this post! Tomorrow we do not have school!!! I am very happy! I am going to sleep in and chill out. Then I am going to Silver Bells In The City. After that I am going to an all- nighter at my church with my friend Kailee. It is going to be very fun!

Yesterday a movie was shot pretty close to my house. It is called Red Dawn. They shot in the ledges. It sounds pretty cool. I really want to see it in a different state when it comes out so I can brag to people that it was filmed really close to my house. I want to be in it.  I always have wanted to be in a movie.  They are building cave out of styrofoam and they put fake rail road tracks on one of our footbridges.  I want to go see the set. I think that it would be cool. It is about the story of a group of teenagers who form an insurgency to defend their town when it is attacked by Chinese and Russian soldiers.  It is supposed to come out November, 2010. So in a year. I sounds really cool.

I don’t think it is fair to cut money from our schools. There is a protest today at the Capital. They estimate over 2,000 people will be there. I think all the students should go. But we are not. We need good education to get good jobs and with the budget cut we will not as good as education as people in other states or countries. Then we will have to really fight for jobs. They should not take money from our schools. Here is the article I read about the budget cuts.

No way would I ever want to wear a uniform! I think they would be uncomfortable. Also, I would hate to look like everyone else. I like to express my own style. I am very glad my school does not make us wear uniforms! I don’t like skirts. That is probably what I would have to wear. They make me feel weird. I wold never wear a dress either! I think that all schools should give their students the right to dress the way they want to. I don’t like uniforms.

I chose this picture because I love to play sports. Basketball is my favorite. I really enjoy watching soccer too. Sports are a big part in my life. I am very active. I love to run track in the spring. Basketball is in the Fall and Winter. I chose this pic because  I love sports.

If I was the President for the day I would make it a law that kids got to choose when they wanted to go to school. I would also try to make more jobs for the people who are struggling like my moms friends.  I would go try to make peace with all the countries we are in war with. I would pretty much fix everything before the real President came back. I would print out more money and give it to all the poor people. I would make a home for all the people on the streets. I would give them money and a job. Then everybody would be happy. I want everyone to be happy because I am mostly always happy and it feels good. That is hat I would do if I was President for a day.

Life as a middle school student is pretty fun. You get to see your friends everyday and you have six different teachers. The classes are fun but can be a little challenging. I have really enjoyed my experiences so far. I go to a great school. One of my most challenging  experiences was when I was in sixth grade and had a horrible teacher. I really struggled in that class. One of my best experiences was was this year playing basketball. I have learned a lot from my mistakes. One huge mistake I made was talking back to my teacher once. I almost went to ISS but the teacher liked me. He said if it was any other teacher I would be in ISS. I learned never talk back.   I really enjoy my middle school life.
